After shredding the hard drives we then strip the electronics down to their components. To be as thorough as possible we hand disassemble each and every device. Some places shred the entire device, but that releases toxin in the air and is not environmentally friendly. The only thing Algonquin Electronics Recycling shreds are hard drives as they are fully self-contained and therefore do not pose a threat when shredded. It takes more time to do this manually but we care about doing the job the right way. We Algonquin Electronics Recycling salvages all usable material that can be refined and made into feedstock.
